IHT Wings, Waves & Woods Festival welcomes all birders

Island Heritage Trust invites all birders—families, beginners and experts—to the annual Wings, Waves & Woods Festival, Friday, May 20, through Sunday, May 22, offering a mix of birding, nature, historical walks and activities.

Activities include a boat trip to Seal Island, which offers sightings of Atlantic Puffins, Razorbills, Northern Gannets and others. Up to two dozen species of warblers can be seen on various guided walks on Island Heritage Trust’s preserves, as well as shorebirds nesting and breeding along the shoreline. Participants can experience just one activity or make it an entire weekend.

Online registration is only required for boat trips and the keynote dinner; in-person Walks and Talks do not require registration, though a small per-walk donation is suggested.
