Community Compass Festival of Lights Parade seeks participants

Community Compass will hold its second annual Festival of Lights Parade on Saturday, December 18, with a snow date of Sunday, December 19.

Participants will line up at 4 p.m. at Penobscot Community School and set off at 4:30 p.m. The parade will travel from the school along Route 15, through Sedgwick and over the bridge to Deer Isle. Then, it will take a right toward Burnt Cove and continue through downtown Stonington, making its way back toward the high school. Parade viewers should plan to watch from driveways or safely in cars somewhere along the parade route.

Community members, clubs, organizations, families or businesses interested in participating in the parade should contact Jessica Valdez at director@communitycompassdowneast.org or call 522-7983.
