Registration open for online music lessons

Ellsworth Community Music Institute has opened registration for the 2020-21 school year. All lessons will continue to be taught online through 2020. Interested students may visit for music lesson inquiry and registration. ECMI’s school year begins September 14.

Students of all ages may study piano, strings, percussion and voice, according to a press release.

ECMI has added two new faculty members to its team of professional teachers. Jessica Mehre will teach piano and Gina Schuh-Turner will teach voice. Mehre is from Klondike, Wisc., and has studied piano at St. Norbert College, in Florence, Italy, and Orono. Schuh-Turner has recently moved to the Ellsworth area from Denver, Colo., and holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Full musician bios for all ECMI faculty can be found at

Upcoming events and classes include an outdoor Midday Concert at 1 p.m. on September 24 and online Early Childhood Music and Movement classes with Deborah Reinke starting September 28.
