Bagaduce Music Presents ‘Between War & Here’

National Public Radio war correspondents Neal Conan and Anne Garrels team up with the iconic chamber group Ensemble Galilei to explore their experiences in war at the Bagaduce Music Performance Hall on Thursday, November 7, at 7 p.m. There will be a reception by separate ticket to meet the artists following the performance.

Music, theater and memory all merge for an East Coast Veteran’s Day tour in Maine and Maryland. “Between War & Here” is a new collaboration between journalists and musicians exploring honor, courage, loss and hope as top-tier war correspondents’ experiences are intertwined with music, poetry and memoir, according to a news release. “Between War & Here” benefits the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

The tour’s companion poetry book and the new CD, “The Flowers of the Forest,” will be available for purchase. Inspired by the 100 Fridays of performing weekly for veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., the CD includes traditional Scottish, Irish and American music along with several new compositions by the Galilei artists.

Tickets and information are available online at or call Bagaduce Music at 374-5454.
