Panel discussion on palliative, hospice care
Healthy Peninsula and the Choices that Matter project will host a free palliative care panel discussion, “Palliative Care and Hospice Care: Understanding the Difference,” on Tuesday, April 16, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bagaduce Music Lending Library Performance Hall in Blue Hill.
This event highlights National Healthcare Decisions Day which exists to inspire, educate and empower the public and providers about the importance of advance care planning. The panelists include Dr. Jim VanKirk, M.D., Northern Light Palliative Care; Zoe Tenney, Nurse Practitioner, Northern Light Palliative Care; Anne Donovan-Fortier, LCSW Northern Light Palliative Care, and Amy Wescott, LCSW Northern Light Homecare and Hospice. A brief TED Talk video will be shown, followed by a panel discussion.
