Healthy Peninsula receives grant for mobile farm stand
First National Bank recently presented Healthy Peninsula with a check for $2,500 in support of their Magic Food Bus program.
The Magic Food Bus is a free mobile farm stand, offering local produce, health information, and books for children and adults from late June through September. Since its inception in 2011, the Magic Food Bus now serves seven communities on the peninsula, serving over 2,300 patrons in 2017 alone, according to a news release. The Magic Food Bus serves, but also engages, both through their community garden, and inviting visitors to gather together, sit down with a good book and enjoy each other’s company. If you would like to support the Magic Food Bus, visit healthypeninsula.org.
