Community search, vigil scheduled for missing woman
Now that law enforcement has conducted numerous searches on the Grindleville Road in Blue Hill where Jessica A. Grindle was last seen on 7/24, community members have been given permission by law enforcement and landowners to conduct an organized community search.
According to a news release, family and friends have scheduled two area searches, the first taking place Friday, October 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The second group search is scheduled for Monday, October 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants should meet at 45 Mines Road in Blue Hill and come prepared to hike in various types of terrain. Children under 18 years old and dogs will not be permitted.
Grindle’s family will be hosting a candlelight vigil to “Bring Jessica Home” at the Blue Hill Town Hall on October 10 at 7:30 p.m. The vigil will be a place for the community to gather in hope and strength that Jessica will be returned home.
