Volunteers needed to spruce up high school

by Tevlin Schuetz

Volunteers are encouraged to attend a Beautification Day event at the high school, scheduled for Saturday, August 11, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Volunteers will focus on outside work, such as adding new plants and benches to the grounds, painting the building’s exterior and more.

Anyone is welcome to attend at any time during the day, parent and organizer Tracie Morey said, during a July 18 school board meeting.

Morey said the group is looking for donations of painting supplies as well as food items and snacks.

“We will feed you, though,” she said, adding that new high school principal Dennis Duquette will be manning the grill, preparing hamburgers.

“If you come, we will have fun as a community and transform the school,” Duquette said.
