The Penobscot Music Buffet Coffeehouse will celebrate its 50th evening on March 21 at the Penobscot Methodist Church. Started as a three-month experiment in 2009, it continues to be a fun and popular monthly event for the town and peninsula. Since its beginning, over 100 musicians, writers, and poets have participated during open mic, and more than 60 have been “featured performers.”

The 50th show will feature 10 regular and favorite acts.

As usual, admission and refreshments are free, and 100 percent of donations are used for the local fuel assistance fund and the Tree of Life food pantry. More than $6,000 has been raised to date.
