Yosvany Terry will play a one-night show on July 15, 2014 at the Burnt Cove Church in Stonington, Maine, hosted by Opera House Arts.
Acclaimed international touring star Yosvany Terry makes a one-night stop in Stonington Tuesday, July 15, at 7 p.m. as part of Opera House Arts’ Chamber at the Church Series at their Burnt Cove Church facility at 17 Airport Road. Terry, a reed and chekeré player known for his improvisational jazz, will appear in a unique chamber music configuration, his Bohemian Trio, comprising saxophone, cello, and piano.
The trio, founded in 2013, is a genre-defying contemporary music ensemble based in New York City, according to a news release from OHA. The trio’s focus is to premiere new musical works from a broad range of genres: classical, Afro-Cuban, tango, rock, jazz and electronic. For tickets and information, go to operahousearts.org.
