Penobscot nominations close, open school board, finance committee seats

January 20 marked the deadline for filing nomination papers for open municipal and school seats.

Incumbent Stanley Shorey filed papers for an open three-year term as selectman. Incumbent Anne Hayes-Grillo filed papers for one of two open school board seats. Incumbent Jennifer Pert did not file papers for a second open seat, and no other papers have been filed.

Incumbent Mary Ellen Gross filed papers for the open two-year term as town clerk.

No one filed papers for two open seats, which run for three years, on the Finance Committee.

Town meeting begins with elections on Monday, March 3, followed by the remaining warrant articles on Tuesday, March 4.
