Mountainville Records’ performance series continues in Stonington
Following the recent performance by singer/songwriter Adrien Reju, Mountainville Records’ Summer Series will continue for three more events at Opera House Arts’ Burnt Cove Church. The first, starting at 8 p.m. Friday, August 29, will be Merther, the Blue Hill based reggae/dub/jam band.
Next up, at 8 p.m. Friday, September 5, Stonington’s mother-daughter duo OC and Sarah will be joined by the Blue Hill Peninsula’s Loose Cannon Jug Band in a two-part variety show format playing blues, traditional folk and originals, presented with their unusual mix of instruments and trademark levity of spirit, according to a press release.
Then at 8 p.m. Friday, September 19, the season finale will wrap up with Portland singer/songwriter Kate Schrock, joined by Glen DaCosta, Bob Marley & the Wailers’ legendary saxophone player whose credits also include Toots & the Maytals, and Gladys Knight.
Tickets for all events are available online at mountainvillerecords.com or at the door the night of the performance. Sponsorship for all these events is provided by Gallery Mozelle of Deer Isle.
