The Eagles held their first home regatta at Maine Maritime Academy on May 1, one of several “relatively casual” Wednesday regattas held at MMA or MDI, said Coach Tom Gutow.

This followed the Bull Dog Classic in Portland held on April 28, where GSA finished fifth overall out of ten competing schools. Gordon Lameyer skippered the Division “A” boat, with Dillon Morey as crew, finished second in its third race and had five top-five finishes. Nicholas Steenberg, skipper of the Division “B” boat, and crew Clover Slagle had six finishes in the top half, winning its final race. Falmouth finished in top place overall.

The GSA girls missed the Hereshoff Trophy regatta on May 5, but have regattas in Portland and Rockland scheduled for this weekend. They host the Downeast Regatta at MMA on May 18 and 19.
