Blue Hill’s Last Night! promises to entertain
How do you want to spend the last night of 2013? If you answered “have some fun,” then Blue Hill will be the place to be.
The Last Night! schedule of performers is taking shape and includes old favorites and newcomers, children’s activities, family experiences, and adult fare. Noisy, quiet, interactive, toe-tapping, and downright danceable—Blue Hill will have it all, organizers announced in a press release.
Listen to jazz, rock, blues, funk, and brass band music throughout the evening, tap your feet to Scottish dancing, or jump to the calypso beat of Blue Hill’s own steel drum bands. If theater is your interest, experience the New Surry Theater. Poetry and storytelling, tarot card readings, family sing-a-long—perhaps a few surprises—and Noel Paul Stookey as an added treat?
Stroll to the seven downtown venues, enjoy hot cocoa and coffee and homemade treats at the Fire House, and end the old year ready to start the new.
Schedules will be available in the Penobscot Bay Press newspapers and at the venues on Last Night 2013. See peninsulapan.org for schedules, last minute updates, and information about Last Night! organizers and performers.
