New Surry Theatre opens 41st season with Proof
New Surry Theatre opens its 41st season this fall with the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof by David Auburn. Directed by Rebecca Poole, Proof goes beyond the simple backdrop of a mathematical mystery, and extends to the very nature of belief, according to a release from NST.
Auburn’s warm, complex and beautifully mysterious play explores the intricate nature of truth and trust. Proof opens Friday, November 2 with Michael Reichgott, Nina Robinson-Poole, Bryan Lescord and Mary O’Brien Jones.
Performances are scheduled for November 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and November 4 and 11 at 3 p.m. at the Blue Hill Town Hall Theater. There will be a reception at the Blue Hill Inn after the Sunday, November 4, matinee performance, with food, wine, and the chance to meet the actors and director. All ticketholders for the performance are welcome to attend. This reception is put on by the Friends of New Surry Theatre. Call 200-4720 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve tickets.
