Blue Hill Heritage Trust invites the public to celebrate the mountain August 12

Blue Hill Heritage Trust will host its third annual Mountain Day celebration in the Hayes Field on Blue Hill Mountain on Sunday, August 12, from 12 to 3 p.m. Mountain Day is a free event featuring live music, yoga, guided walks, children’s activities, and more.

The celebration will begin with yoga on the summit from 9 to 11 a.m. Other activities will include guided walks up the mountain and children’s activities including crafts, field games, a scavenger hunt, and a story walk. Ongoing live music from 12 to 3 p.m. will feature local musicians, including Jay Peterson & Co., Black & White, and The Living Daylight.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic or purchase picnic-style food from local vendors. The event will be powered by solar panels provided by American Sun Electric and Wessel Electric Inc. The following sponsors are helping to underwrite the cost of this event: Cadillac Mountain Sports, Camden National Bank, The First, and Ellsworth Builders Supply.
