Wings, Waves & Woods celebrates with three days of festivities

Wings, Waves & Woods, an event focused on all-things bird related, drew many to the island May 18-20 for activities suitable for all ages. Ranging from sightseeing cruises in the harbor to a bird’s eye-view from high above the ground courtesy of Penobscot Air, the three-day celebration featured owls, puffins and pelagics as well as anything that could be seen in the wild.

While some spent time on the ground, others took to the air. Flying with Penobscot Island Air pilot Jeremy Harmon, spectators were given the opportunity to see the island from a different perspective.
