Specializing in handmade paper lampshades, papermaker Virginia Sarsfield produces a rich palette of papers in many different shades and textures. The lampshades produced from her papers are one-of-a-kind and add a unique luminosity to any lamp. Stop by the gallery to view the wide variety of lampshades, and artist-grade papers, or have a custom lampshade made for that special lamp.
The gallery also features handcrafted wood lamps by Louis Charlett, hand woven rag rugs by Hillary Hutton, colorful hooked rugs by Ken Carpenter, unique feather art by Chris Maynard of Olympia, Washington, and maritime linocuts by English Shipwright James Dodds.
Located just up the hill from Center Harbor in Brooklin, the gallery’s front windows, illuminated with contemporary and vintage lamps and lampshades, shine like a beacon of light to sailors and vacationers alike.
